This Navajo bracelet has very high quality turquoise and the silver workmanship is superb. Bracelets such as this are rare and quite difficult to find.

A nascent thriving trade in Navajo-produced jewelry during the 1920s-1930s resulted from the presence of the railroad and the existence of well-established shops. However, pieces such as this were time-consuming and expensive to make. The maker was clearly very accomplished.

The bezels are simple and fully encompass the precisely cut stones. Each component is hand-made. The decorative balls are individually soldered onto the base, and the stamping is precise. All of these are difficult techniques and they are characteristic of the best Navajo jewelry of this period.
