excellent condition with a few minor surface abrasions

circa 1890-1910

The artistry of this polychrome jar is outstanding. The pot is clearly made by one of the major potters at San Ildefonso who was working at this time but we are unable to definitely ascribe it to a particular artist. The designs utilize positive/negative effects in the diamonds which alternate with solid black and white diamonds, alternating with polychrome  plants.
