18” long x 4 1/4” wide at widest point

soft and supple hide, 1/16” glass beads (incuding dark blue, lighter blue, and idigo blue, greasy yellow, red, translucent, pony beads). sinew sewn.

excellent condition. The hair and green shroud were replaced by an Umatilla woman.

Small cradleboards with dolls were often made for children, although they also were a desirable trade item after the Plains Indians had been moved to Reservations. This cradleboard and doll are a wonderful example of Crow/Umatilla work and it is easy to display.
