This is a very high quality Yokuts cooking bowl, with very tight stitching and coiling. These baskets were generally woven for use although there is no evidence that this one was ever used. This basket has wonderful patina with undulating variegated sedge. The stylized snake bands are woven out of dyed bracken fern.

There are a few replaced rim stitches. Condition is excellent.

We have reduced the price to one that is incredibly enticing to the collector. This offers an opportunity to own a high quality basket at a very reasonable price.
